40th Anniversary

I would like to take a moment and honor the women athletes that have come before me.  My mother and her teammates, my role models and the girls that were not able to reach their dreams.  Because of their hardships and hardwork and their love for the game we are able to play with the boys.

In 1972 the law passed stating, "No person in the United States shall, on the basis of sex, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any education program or activity."  Thanks to this my sisters and so many others are able to presue our dreams and compete at the next level. While also benefitting from amazing educations by playing our sport and because of this I will be forever grateful.

So for those unaware of this take the time to educate yourself so that we may all be grateful for the opportunities given to us.  I know I am.

And now my beautiful stud of a baby sista will be joining this amazing group of women athletes and could not be more proud.
